Confidentiality is central to the trust between doctors and patients.
Everything you tell us or we find out about you will be treated in the strictest confidence.
All information divulged to the Doctor or any other staff in the Practice will be treated with the utmost discretion and will not be shared by anyone else without your consent. Staff are obliged not to discuss any patient data with persons other than those who are authorised and involved with the Practice.
However, information must be shared within the health care team in order to provide your care.
Unless you object, information will be shared with the healthcare team including administrative and other staff who support the provision of your care.
This may include consultants, hospital technicians and other health professionals whom you have been referred to; pharmacists and prescribing advisers who review patients’ medicine needs to improve safety, efficacy and efficiency in doctor’s prescribing.
